"We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and PATIENCE inherit what has been promised."
James 1:4"Let patience have her perfect work."
Romans 15:4,5"For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through patience and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have HOPE"
Psalm 37:7
"Be still before the Lord and wait PATIENTLY for Him."
Psalm 40:1"I waited patiently for the Lord. He turned to me and heard my cry."
+Lord, help my "patience" to be under construction by your Holy Spirit."
From experience and from counseling, I know the truth in the statement that God is at
work dealing with our patience. For example there was a lady who prayed a great deal for
patience. She complained to another Christian that while she prayed for patience, all she
seemed to get was trouble. “The Lord is allowing trouble in order to produce patience in
you.” was the reply. You know, how many times have people prayed for patience and the
Lord “sent” their way a demanding boss, a spouse that seems to be impossible to live
with, a situation with a child. Yes, it is in answer to patience. In these (and the list is
endless) is the opportunity to exercise and practice it. Please, accept it as part of your
training from God.
