Three Treasures I received

A. Intimacy with God

Jeremiah 29:11-14
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the LORD, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the LORD, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.

Verse 4 says, seek peace where I have caused you to be carried away captive and pray.

This is more than just prayer. It is a quest for God out of an earnest desperation.

I needed Him to move in my behalf. It was a matter of surrendering my will to His and experiencing His peace. I had to pour out my heart before Him, weep. Tell Him of all my grief, pain, and frustrations.

Proverbs 3:5-8
Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.

Acknowledge - know by first hand experience. It becomes a life giving intimacy with the Lord in prayer that births blessings and victory.

Direct - make straight. God will "straighten out" the path of His trusting Child.

What I received from this intimacy:

B. Strength

II Corinthians 12: 9 Jesus said .My power is made perfect in weakness

C. Hope

Lamentations 3:22-23
Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him."
The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;
wait -waiting hopefully, expectantly

Psalm 116:1-2 I love the Lord because He has heard my appeal for mercy. Because He has turned His ear to me, I will call out to Him as long as I live.
