Zechariah 4:6-9

Our prayer cloths were anointed with oil with this scripture in mind.

6: "It is not by force, nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty. Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in (            ) way; it will be flattened before her."

7:"Then,(            ) will set the final stone of the Temple in place, and the people will shout, 'May God bless it! May God bless it!'"

9.(            ) is the one who laid the foundation of this Temple, and she will complete it. Then everyone will know the Lord Almighty has sent her."

Explanation of the Scripture

Remember: We are the Temple of the Holy Spirit

Verse 6

Verse 7 - It is by God's grace and more grace that the mountain will become a plain!

Isaiah 40:3-5 Listen! I hear the voice of someone shouting, "Make a highway for the LORD through the wilderness. Make a straight, smooth road through the desert for our God. Fill the valleys and level the hills. Straighten out the curves and smooth off the rough spots. Then the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all people will see it together. The LORD has spoken!"

Isaiah 45:2-3 This is what the LORD says: "I will go before you, (            ), and level the mountains. I will smash down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness--secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.

Isaiah 60:1 -"Arise,(            )! Let your light shine for all the nations to see! For the glory of the LORD is shining upon you.

Some have waited a long time for their mountain to be removed.

Verse 9 - After years of discouragement (            ) will see the fulfillment of God's purpose for her.

Romans 11:29 "For God's gifts and His call can never be withdrawn!"

Isaiah 40:27-30 O Israel, how can you say the LORD does not see your troubles? How can you say God refuses to hear your case? Have you never heard or understood? Don't you know that the LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth? He never grows faint or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up. But those who wait on the LORD will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
