Nancy's Notes

birdThe Joy of the Lord Is my Strength!bird

The Lord has been dealing with me about how much do I really believe. Several scriptures have stood out to me as if I've never heard or seen them before. One of them was from Psalm 103:5 concerning the healing of all (everyone of) my diseases. The other one was from Philippians 3:1.

Philippians 3:1..Delight yourself in the Lord and continue to rejoice that you are in Him, vs.3,for we worship God in spirit and by the Spirit of God and pride ourselves in Jesus Christ and put no confidence or dependence (on what we are) in the flesh I don't think I show much joy, so I am making a effort to think upon and rejoice in all He has done for me.

Deut. 28:47 says that the curses came because you." did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness of heart (in gratitude) of the abundance of all (with which He had blessed you.) Christ has done so much for us. Psalm 103 tells of them. He accepts each and every one of us as we are. We are a part of His family and we belong to Him.

You will have trials but Jesus said in John 16:33 "I have deprived it (the world) of power to harm you and have conquered it for you. "It is only through the experiences of life that we truly learn of Him and find ourselves changing as we trust in Him.

1 Corinthians 2:14 says He always leads us in triumph (as trophies of Christ's victories) and the fragrance and knowledge of God is spread through us everywhere.

Illustration of little boy sitting yet standing on the inside. This is the attitude we should have toward the enemy.

Hebrews 4:14-16 we have someone who understands us - Jesus- tempted as we are - cry out to Him to receive mercy and find grace to help us.

I found myself caught up in fear one day because I have found it extremely difficult to get around and climb the stairs and as I cried out to the Lord, He spoke these words to me.

I am coming, My beloved, in ways you can't even imagine. I will, I will show My merciful Hand in behalf of My children. Trust Me. Know that this will not come to you without some effort on your part. The enemy is mad and he will try to rob you of your joy, peace, and victory. You must know that victory is yours already. The enemy has been defeated and My glory will be seen in, through and about you. Take hold of My truth. Put on the shield of faith and the breastplate of righteousness and gird your loins with My peace. My peace I leave with you - not as the world's - but My peace.

You will come into a knowing that cannot be taken from you and those about you will desire the beauty of what comes forth. You will truly be an example of My love. Eyes have not seen nor ears heard , nor has it even entered the heart what I have prepared for those who love Me. Prepare yourself, My beloved, for the fight and the victory! You are victorious In Me. I will lead you to victory. Trust Me as that little child. I will not forsake you.. I have much to accomplish through you as a result of this - a fragrance that will draw all people to desire what you have by My grace. You will experience My love for you in even a deeper way. Joy comes through travail - what I bring to birth - can it not happen? Absolutely it will!!! Joy! Joy! Joy! Abundant overflowing joy is yours as well as My peace.

Receive these words as coming from Me for they most assuredly are! Doubt no more. I have not required of you that which I have required of you for naught. It has and will accomplish My purpose for you . I love you, My beloved. Rest in the beauty of that love. Bask in the warmth of it. There is healing.

Expect to see much in the days ahead not only for you but for your family and greater family - those I've given you to love. Much will be happening My glory will be seen!

Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

John 5:4-5 For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith. Who is it that is victorious over [that conquers] the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on that fact]? We have to learn to stand firmly against the enemy - victory is ours already - tell him so! Romans 8:37 Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.

Galatians 3:23 Before this faith came we were held prisoner, locked up until faith should be revealed. We will have trials.

Our own nature, circumstances, trial and disappointments all serve to keep us submissive and "locked up" until we see the only way is His way of faith. Acts 16: 23-24. As we are "locked up" sing praises to Him. Praise Him that in all things He works for good and He acts on behalf of them who wait for Him, Is 64:4 God will reveal truths to you and many others will receive great insight and blessings because you were locked up.

Our faith is always at its greatest point when we are in the middle off trials and confidence in our flesh dies to faith.

Remember, the enemy has already been defeated! Jesus was raised up above, seated at the right Hand of God far above all rule and authority and power and dominion. And we are seated with Him.

Ephesians 1:19-22 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places], Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come. And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church].

If the enemy gets our peace He gets our power. We need to put on the armor of God. The battle is real but we already have the victory.

We wrestle against demon spirits. The devil is real but Christ has overcome them. There will be seasons when we will need to stand when the devil says it won't work. That's when we need to tighten the belt of Truth..Get ready for the battle with the Truth - God's Word (We can't fight with our pants down.) As we hang onto the Word, Deut. 28:7-14 tells us what God will do.

12The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day and are watchful to do them. 14And you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Breast plate of righteousness - Know who you are In Christ. Don't live in guilt and condemnations. All God wants is our love, not our perfections. We're not a shock to God. He knows more about you than you know yourself.

1 Corinthians 6:7 says to speak the word of truth, in the power of God with the weapon of righteousness. Isaiah 32:17 says the effect of righteousness will be peace and the result will be quietness and confidence.

Our righteousness is knowing who we are in Christ.

Put on the shoes of peace.. Like putting on shoes - make an effort to put them on. Hebrews 12:14, Col. 3:15, Romans 16:20

Lift up the shield of faith. We have to believe God can do it. We overcome by faith and we receive by faith. I believe God is working in Me.

Helmet of salvation - We have to think right. We need to check our attitude.

Wield the sword of the Spirit - We need to start speaking the Word of God out loud. Proclaim what He says concerning you in the Word. Then, cover everything with prayer.

God watches over us like loving parents. He wants us to be "fully persuaded" that He is able to do what He promises. In order to do that, He has to keep results that are encouraging away from us until we learn to trust Him without them.

Thanks you Lord for the privilege of being called "your child." May we become as fully persuaded, as Abraham became, that God is true to His Word. Truly - the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Read Jeremiah 33:3-11, Psalm 91.
